Ken Fales, Chair
Coach Fales begin fencing in college with the Michigan State Team. With over 8 years of fencing and coaching experience, Coach Fales is a three weapon fencer and is nationally rated in all three weapons. He is also and active competitor with numerous USFA medals to his credit and a nationally rated Referee. Coach Fales is available for Private Lessons and runs our Wednesday Intermediate and Thursday Beginners classes in addition to our Saber Sunday classes

Corey Cleland, Treasurer
Corey is an Associate Professor of Biology at James Madison University. He has been involved with CFA since 2008 when his daughter began fencing and has been a member of the Board and Treasurer since 2010. Corey brings skills in financial management, grant writing and computer technical expertise to the Board of CFA.
Monica Daniels, Member
Monica is a teacher at Charlottesville Waldorf School. She and her son, Douglas, have been involved with CFA since 2010. Previously they were involved with Rhode Island Fencing Academy and Club (RIFAC) for five years. With 19 years of experience from diverse educational and nonprofit settings, Monica brings experience in grant writing, mediation, and strategic planning.
Chris Anderson-Hoke, Member
Chris Anderson-Hoke is a homeschooling mother of two; her younger son started fencing with the Homeschool Program at CFA in September, 2010. She was very involved with the homeschool community in MA, where she lived for 17 years prior to moving to VA; she was a co-founder of a homeschool group, and was the newsletter editor and membership coordinator for many years. She also taught at a homeschool co-op. Before embarking on her homeschooling journey, she was employed as a secretary and a chemist.
