In his last bout as a Youth 12 fencer Gavin Meade edged Phoebe Whitmore in the Y12 foil Commonwealth  Games tournament, held recently at Charlottesville Fencing Alliance. The image shows the last touch of the bout, which was also the last touch of the Virginia Division season. Regretfully, it was also Gavin’s last touch as a Virginia Division fencer, as he moves to Florida next month. He will be missed by his colleagues at Charlottesville Fencing Alliance.
