We will be using several historical manuals from the Italian and German schools of longsword dueling and spanning from about 14-1800.

This class also provides both cardiovascular and anaerobic exercise. By the end of the course the student will be able to fence safely and will be ready for more intermediate level lessons. We will also be covering the HEMA rules and regulations with and eye towards forming a competitive longsword group using the HEMA system.

Preregistration is required for this class, which will begin on March 8th. The class is appropriate for teens and adults only. This class will run for 8 weeks, and the needed gear is included for the duration of the class. We will offer the class on two different days to more easily accommodate busy schedules.
